The Self-Discovery Journey Starts Here!

My name is Nichelle and DivaDork LLC has a special place in my heart because it captures two of my best sides: a sassy diva and silly dork. How did I come to recognize these two sides? I was at a change management conference in 2018 and found myself in front of a table with a litany of badge flare with fun themes on them. And there it was..."DIVA"...YES, I love that for me! But then I saw "DORK" and loved that equally. So when it came down to it, I had to choose both (plus there was no rule to say I could only choose one - thankfully!).

DivaDork LLC inspiration

I initially created DivaDork LLC in 2020 to sell greeting cards because I found myself always needing thank you cards but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. Nothing expressed, either visually or in words, what I wanted to say. Along the way, it became clear that starting a business, being creative, and having the courage to put my talent out in the world was going to be a journey of self-discovery. A journey of self-love. A journey with the lows of not knowing what I was doing, what I wanted to create, who I was going to be, and why my business would matter to anyone else.

A journey of highs stemming from incredible support from family (Hi Mom!) and friends (Hey Ladies!). Their objective perspectives kept me honest with my end goal and helped me to keep something very important at the forefront of anything I was going to create. Me. Not from a selfish standpoint, but more so from the thought of putting me, my personality, my character, qualities, and demeanor into my work.
